Responsibilities
• Have 10+ years of experience building and operating distributed systems in high-availability, customer-facing environments. • Have architected and scaled large backend systems across multiple teams or product areas. • Have deep expertise in distributed systems design (consistency models, fault tolerance, scaling patterns, observability). • Have hands-on experience designing and scaling multi-region environments in AWS or GCP.Have strong experience with containerized systems (Kubernetes, EKS/GKE, ECS, etc.).Are fluent in infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform or Pulumi. • Have strong API and service architecture experience. • Have led performance optimization efforts at scale. • Are backend-leaning, but comfortable navigating full product stacks when necessary (TypeScript, Node, Go, etc.).Have demonstrated the ability to influence technical direction beyond your immediate team. • Are known for thoughtful system design and pragmatic decision-making. • Mentor senior engineers and elevate architectural thinking across an organization.
