Requirements
• 5+ years of professional experience building scalable and reliable web applications • Experience with React or another comparable JavaScript framework • Deep understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS • Independent, self-managed, and motivated • Good command of the English language • Experience with any of the following would be a plus: Python, Django, AWS (or another cloud provider), any RDBMS, Elasticsearch, Redis • Have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems • Veeva’s headquarters is located in the San Francisco Bay Area with offices in more than 15 countries around the world.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain frontend applications using React framework to ensure a seamless user experience across all devices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, QA engineers, and backend developers throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). • Implement responsive web designs that adapt smoothly to different screen sizes using CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Material UI for consistent branding. • Optimize application performance by reducing load times through code refactoring, minification of assets, lazy loading components and implementing caching strategies where appropriate. • Ensure accessibility standards are met in all frontend applications developed (e.g., WCAG 2.1 guidelines). • Conduct user testing sessions to gather feedback on the usability and functionality of web interfaces with real users, report findings back to team members for iterative improvements. • Stay updated with latest trends in frontend development such as new JavaScript frameworks or libraries (e.g., Vue.js), design patterns, accessibility practices, performance optimization techniques etc. Attend relevant workshops and webinars when possible. • Participate actively in code reviews to maintain high coding standards within the team while also providing constructive feedback on peers' contributions where necessary. • Manage frontend development projects from conception through deployment ensuring all deliverables meet quality assurance (QA) and business requirements, including regular testing of application functionality across different browsers/devices for compatibility issues. • Provide technical support to team members when needed in areas related to React or general web technologies like HTML5, CSS3 etc., fostering a collaborative work environment within the development team.
