nfq - Senior Software Engineer (PHP)
Responsibilities
• Take end-to-end ownership of features, from refinement to production, including engineering decisions on larger topics • Design and build entire applications, partnering with architects to ensure the scalability, reliability and usability of our Marketplace products • Work with business stakeholders to define requirements, plan milestones and iterate on features based on measured performance • Contribute to technical and architectural standards across the company • Mentor teammates and take part in hiring • Work with a broad stack including PHP, SQL databases, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, SQS, Kubernetes and AWS • At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience • Deep expertise in PHP and Symfony • Experience building scalable, distributed systems • Solid knowledge of relational databases • Experience designing APIs and integrating with third-party systems • Hands-on experience with LLM-based tools, both as a user and as an engineer building AI-driven solutions • Comfort working directly with business stakeholders • Professional working proficiency in English • A habit of continuous learning and a team-player mindset
