Requirements

• 7–10+ years of overall experience in software quality assurance, with significant depth in test automation. • Minimum 1.5 years of hands-on experience with Playwright for UI test automation. • Strong experience in API testing and automation —building test suites and validating complex integration scenarios. • Experience testing enterprise or SaaS applications with multi-tenant, multi-integration architectures. • Strong ownership mindset — ability to operate independently and drive initiatives from ideation to completion. • Experience in performance testing using tools such as Locust, JMeter, k6, or Gatling. • Working knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript. • Exposure to Cypress or other modern automation frameworks. • Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and optimization (e.g., Jenkins, Harness, GitHub Actions). • Familiarity with test reporting and observability tools (e.g., Allure, Grafana, Datadog). • Contributions to automation framework architecture — page object models, custom fixtures, data-driven patterns, and shared utilities. • 📍Where You’ll Work • Loopio is a remote-first workplace because we recognize the advantages of working flexibly. We are HQ’d in Canada, with established hub regions around the world where we hire from. • Our employees (or Loopers, as we call ourselves!) live and work in 🇨🇦 Canada (British Columbia and Ontario), 🇬🇧 London, and 🇮🇳 India (specifically in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Bengaluru). • Our India/UK hub employees work according to the business hours stated in the job description above. This is intentionally designed to enable our global teams to have overlapping hours for collaboration. • You’ll collaborate with your teams virtually across the UK, India, and North America (we’re just a Zoom call and Slack message away!) with core sync hours and focus time for headsdown work 🙇🏾 during the workday • We encourage asynchronous collaboration to effectively work as a global #OneTeam!

Responsibilities

• Lead and define test strategy for complex, high-impact product areas and cross-system integrations. • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites for UI and API layers using Playwright. • Own and drive API test automation at scale — covering contract testing, end-to-end integration flows, and data validation. • Evaluate, plan, and execute performance testing to identify bottlenecks, validate SLAs, and ensure system reliability under load. • Mentor and guide L2/L3 QA engineers — conduct code reviews, pair on complex test scenarios, and help the team level up technically. • Champion quality engineering best practices — shift-left testing, test pyramid principles, and continuous testing in CI/CD. • Collaborate with engineering leadership on release readiness, risk assessment, and quality metrics. • Identify gaps in tooling, processes, and coverage, and lead initiatives to address them.
