Requirements

• The Connector: You have strong commercial property insurance contacts and know how to navigate the hierarchy of a large brokerage. • The Industry Guru: You understand commercial P&C fundamentals but are bored by legacy systems. You’re excited to show brokers a better way to work. • The Strategist: You proactively identify the best opportunities & build a plan to capture them. • Experience: 5+ years in insurance distribution, agency management, or wholesale brokerage. Active surplus lines producer license is highly preferred (or relevant surplus lines experience.) • How will success be measured? • To ensure this person is successful, you should measure them on: • New Appointments: Number of high-quality agencies signed per month. • Submission Flow: Volume of "Qualified Submissions" coming through the broker channel. • Activation Rate: The percentage of appointed agencies that bind at least one policy within their first 60 days. • Retention: Year-over-year renewal rate of the broker-produced book of business.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit high-performing commercial lines agencies and brokers who specialize in our core and adjacent verticals. • Lead the appointment process after signing producer agreements; train producers on how to use the SafeLease portal for quick quoting and binding business, ensuring they understand and utilize our platform effectively. • Act as the primary point of contact for our producer partners, conducting regular account reviews, providing appetite updates, gathering feedback, being hyper responsive to their needs, and obsessively making them successful working with SafeLease. • Educate producers on our insurance products and technology advantage, demonstrating how data-driven underwriting and faster turnaround times lead to better pricing and quicker commissions for them. • Own the entire pipeline from initial submission through to bind by partnering closely with our underwriters to ensure high-quality risks are prioritized. • Build distribution/referral relationships with existing property management customers and other relevant industry parties as part of driving premium growth.
