Requirements

• BS (or higher) in Computer Science, or a related field • Minimum of three years' hands-on experience building production systems using Python, Scala, and Java. Preferred programming language is Python. • Experience with AI/ML tooling advancements for deployment, monitoring, training models, etc., ideally within an open-source environment. • Familiarity with concepts such as model evaluation in the context of production systems (e.g., using tools like MLflow). • Significant contributions to similar projects or experience building and maintaining software tool frameworks for AI/ML.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement platform capabilities for the AI/ML development lifecycle including training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and management of models and agents. • Develop integrations with various frameworks in the AI/ML ecosystem to enhance functionality within Databricks' open-source platforms. • Collaborate with global communities on advancing state-of-the-art practices in AIOps by contributing knowledge, ideas, and code back into projects where possible. • Mentor junior engineers through project planning assistance, technical decision support, as well as reviewing their work for quality assurance purposes.
