Responsibilities
• Explore your future career 🔭 • To act as the primary Financial Business Partner for the CTO and CPO, providing financial visibility, challenging investment assumptions, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of Capital Expenditures (Capex) and operating expenses for software development and infrastructure, ensuring strict application of IFRS framework at Malt. • Lead the annual budget and quarterly rolling forecasting cycles for the R&D and IT departments, including monthly variance analysis. • Evaluate, under strict IFRS rules, new R&D phases and IT projects by calculating NPV, IRR, ROI, and Payback Periods to guide Product Committee decisions. • Partner with Engineering Leads to optimize headcount/freelancing spend, and track R&D Intensity/Innovation Effectiveness ratios. • Define and enforce IAS 38 capitalization policies (IFRS guidelines), track hardware/software lifecycles, and coordinate month-end closing with Accounting. • Audit the internal time-tracking system to ensure accurate Project ID tagging, defending R&D Tax Credits and Capitalization audits and ensure IFRS strict compliance. • Manage balance sheet reporting & forecast, including Month-End Variance Analysis, Working Capital KPI Tracking, Driver-Based Working Capital Modeling (under IFRS rules), Accrued Liabilities Roll-Forwards and CAPEX and Depreciation Forecasting. • Own and build a dedicated Pigment app.
