Aspora - Senior DevOps Engineer
Requirements
• 4–6 years of hands-on DevOps or SRE experience in a cloud-native environment • Strong proficiency with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda); GCP experience is a plus • Solid experience with Kubernetes — managing clusters, deployments, autoscaling, and networking • Expertise in CI/CD tooling: GitHub Actions, CircleCI, ArgoCD, or equivalent • Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform (Pulumi or CDK also acceptable) • Comfort working in a Linux/Unix environment with strong any scripting skills. • Experience with observability stacks: Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar. • Strong security mindset — you understand secrets management, IAM, and network hardening • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment with a high ownership bias • Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated industries (PCI-DSS, SOC 2) • Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) • Exposure to multi-region or multi-cloud deployments • Experience with database operations (RDS, PostgreSQL, Redis) including backups and failover • Prior experience in a high-growth Series A/B startup
Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and automated deployments across environments • Manage and evolve our cloud infrastructure on AWS (and/or GCP), including networking, compute, storage, and security configurations • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Pulumi, ensuring reproducible and version-controlled environments • Own observability: set up and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging using tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus • Collaborate closely with backend, mobile, and security engineers to ensure infrastructure supports product velocity and compliance requirements • Lead incident response, post-mortems, and drive improvements to system reliability and uptime • Enforce security best practices including secrets management, IAM policies, vulnerability scanning, and compliance controls (PCI-DSS awareness a plus) • Manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS or GKE) • Support developer tooling, internal environments, and platform engineering initiatives
