Requirements
• 8-10+ years of trading experience, with at least 3 years focused on spot and derivatives trading within financial services, FX, or crypto. • Expert in Options Pricing, Execution, and managing client flow risk: Deep understanding of options pricing, trade execution, and risk management strategies. Expertise with crypto-specific products and derivatives is essential. • Strategic execution: Ability to drive the long-term growth of the options desk through smart business development, client-driven flow, and the optimization of trading operations. • Quantitative and Analytical Expertise: Strong quantitative and analytical skills; familiarity with financial modeling and the ability to develop and implement complex trading strategies. • Sales & client engagement: Demonstrated ability to cultivate and expand relationships with institutional and HNWI clients, while actively engaging in trading conversations, driving sales, and maintaining strong communication at all times. • Operational Excellence: In-depth experience with operational processes and safeguards, ensuring trade compliance, smooth execution, and effective risk management throughout the trade lifecycle. • Adaptability: Comfortable with system implementation, evolving workflows, and creative problem-solving for client needs • Passion for markets & innovation: Deep curiosity and drive to stay ahead of market trends, with a strong interest in crypto and derivatives. Responsibilities
• Engage in senior sales trading activities with a focus on institutional clients within US markets at Kraken. • Execute trades based on market conditions and client instructions to manage risk effectively while aiming for profitability. • Monitor financial news, regulatory updates, and industry developments that may impact the crypto asset markets or trading strategies employed by institutional clients. • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all communications with both internal teams at Kraken as well as external parties such as HNWIs and institutions to build trust and rapport. • Collaborate closely with the sales team, compliance department, risk management group, and other relevant stakeholders within Kraken's institutional trading division to ensure alignment of goals and strategies across teams. • Provide regular reports on trade activities, client interactions, market trends, and performance metrics as required by senior leadership or the sales team for review purposes. • Attend daily standups with internal colleagues in Kraken's institutional trading division to stay informed about current developments within the organization and receive updates from other members of the team regarding their workload and progress on assigned tasks. • Participate actively in weekly strategy meetings held by senior leadership or key stakeholders at Kraken where relevant topics related to institutional trading are discussed, including potential changes in market conditions that may affect client portfolios managed through the firm's platform services offered for US institutions looking into crypto assets investment opportunities. • Actively seek feedback from senior leadership or key stakeholders regarding performance metrics and areas of improvement to continuously enhance skills necessary for successful execution as a Senior Sales Trader at Kraken focusing on institutional clients dealing with cryptocurrency markets within United States borders only (US Only).

• This is the target annual salary range for this role. This range is not inclusive of other additional compensation elements, such as our Bonus program, Equity program, Wellness allowance, and other benefits [US Only] (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
