Kraken - Product and Regional Risk Manager

• Note: This person is the designated Pre-Approval Controlled Function (PCF) under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness & Probity regime (PCF 14). Appointment is subject to approval by the CBI and Board of Directors. • 7+ years of proven experience in enterprise risk management or a related discipline, ideally within a financial services, fintech, or crypto organization, or a top-tier consulting or audit firm • Solid understanding of risk frameworks and risk assessment methodologies, with the ability to apply them pragmatically in a fast-moving environment • Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments and RCSAs, with the ability to translate complex risk findings into clear, actionable recommendations • Strong familiarity with digital asset markets and MiCAR regulatory obligations • Systems thinker with a track record of leveraging technology, automation, and data-driven approaches to build scalable, operationally effective risk programs • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and derive meaningful risk insights • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce polished deliverables and present findings to senior stakeholders and governance bodies • Proven ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and add value across a broad range of risk activities in a high-growth, fully remote environment • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams • Knowledge of the crypto and digital assets landscape is a strong plus — familiarity with Kraken's products and competitive environment • Experience using a GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tool • Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. • Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. • We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. • Kraken is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate all Krakenites for their diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions and unique perspectives.
