• How you’ll make an impact: • Provide accounting advice on a range of IFRS topics including revenue recognition, financial instruments, software capitalisation, leases and impairment. • As the lead of the Technical Accounting team you will provide oversight on the calculation of complex global accounting topics. • Lead the determination of group accounting policies and the development and maintenance of internal guidance manuals, including running the accounting decisions for new products and geographic expansion. • Lead the assessment and implementation of new and amended accounting standards. • Communicate with senior internal stakeholders, including the Executive team, and lead complex accounting discussions with external auditors and internally with functions such as Treasury, Tax and legal entity financial controllers. • Assist financial controllers with financial statement preparation and local GAAP advice as necessary, including disclosure requirements and completeness. • Lead efforts to continuously improve our technical accounting processes and consider best practice. • Professionally qualified accountant (CA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with 8 years post-qualification experience. • In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards, in particular IFRS 15, IFRS 9 and IFRS 2. • Exceptional written and communication skills, in particular the production of accounting analysis memos and simplifying complex accounting concepts for non-accountant senior stakeholders. • Experience in the preparation, review or audit of financial statements prepared under IFRS, including complex disclosure notes. • Experience of accounting within an international environment and communication with external auditors. • Experience of US GAAP is desirable but not essential. • It’s important we set you up for success and make our process as accessible as possible.
