Airwallex - Staff Software Engineer, Ecosystem

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. • 7+ years of experience developing internet applications, large financial systems, or e-commerce platforms. • Strong programming or scripting skills in a language such as Java, Kotlin, C++, Python or a similar language. • Deep familiarity with the standard library, idiomatic usage, and best practices of your primary programming language. • Direct experience building or maintaining a public-facing developer platform, app marketplace, or extension framework. • Experience designing scalable systems and making sound architectural decisions across complex technical domains. • A track record of leading ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives from technical strategy through delivery. • Deep expertise in Domain-Driven Design and applying it to complex business logic and microservice boundaries. • Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and advanced observability tools. • Experience integrating AI or large language models to automate integration workflows or improve developer tooling. • YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF • You're comfortable owning the roadmap yourself. • You own the outcome and you don't wait for permission to fix what's broken. • You're comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and moving quickly anyway. • You connect dots across functions and hold the big picture without losing grip on the details. • You simplify complexity rather than hiding behind it.
