Requirements
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a people management role • Deep hands-on experience in both AP and AR operations — not just oversight, but genuine process ownership • Proven track record owning month-end close in a fast-paced, high-volume environment • Strong working knowledge of GAAP/ASPE and Canadian indirect tax (GST/HST, PST); US state sales tax experience is an asset • Experience with Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or a comparable ERP; procurement or spend management platforms are a strong plus • Experience in the technology/SaaS industry is strongly preferred • Maintains a professional and current LinkedIn profile, ensuring it is updated upon joining Procurify to reflect their new role and maintain a consistent company presence. • Mindset & approach • Genuinely curious about AI in accounting — you're already experimenting, not just reading about it • Obsessed with process improvement; you see inefficiency as a problem to solve, not a reality to accept • A natural super user — you get into the details of systems, you find the workarounds, and you advocate for better • Execution-focused with strong organizational discipline • Strong communicator — comfortable translating accounting detail for non-finance audiences and influencing cross-functionally • Collaborative and low-ego — you partner well with product, ops, and finance leadership
Responsibilities
