Responsibilities
• Backend & Microservices Engineering • Extend existing Spring Boot services and APIs to enable new integration and orchestration use cases. • Build and maintain REST APIs, webhook endpoints, and event-driven integration patterns. • Ensure high standards in code quality, testing, observability, and long-term maintainability. • Platform Engineering & Cloud Operations • Deploy and operate integration-related services in our Kubernetes-based environment. • Ensure proper monitoring, logging, and alerting for automation and integration workloads. • Work closely with other Platform Engineers to maintain reliability, scalability, and performance. • Understand networking, DNS, ingress, and service-to-service communication patterns. • Security & Integration Governance • Design secure patterns for: • Webhooks and inbound integrations • OAuth-based SaaS integrations • Secret and credential management • Service-to-service authentication and authorization • Evaluate risks and potential abuse scenarios in automation workflows. • Ensure integrations meet internal security and compliance standards expected in a FinTech environment. • Product Thinking & Enablement • Enable internal teams to self-serve automation safely through reusable components and clear guardrails. • Operate and extend internal workflow orchestration tooling (e.g., n8n or similar). • Translate operational and business needs into pragmatic technical solutions. • Balance speed of enablement with system integrity and long-term maintainability • 5–10 years of professional engineering experience. • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on production experience with Java and SpringBoot (mandatory). • Proven experience building and operating microservices in a cloud environment. • Practical experience with Kubernetes (deployments, networking basics, resource limits). • Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code setups • Solid understanding of authentication and authorization patterns (OAuth2, JWT, service accounts). • In addition, here are the skills and attributes we are looking for:
