Requirements
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including experience leading technical direction on a team • Deep hands-on experience with our core stack: Python, React, and TypeScript, including shipping production code • A track record of making sound architecture and system design decisions in a fast-moving environment • Experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar of a team through example and code review • Strong collaborator who can align technical decisions with product and business goals • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical tradeoffs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders • Experience in healthcare, supply chain, or another complex regulated domain • Experience scaling systems or engineering practices in an early-stage startup environment • Need to Know: Python · React · TypeScript • Nice to Know: AWS · SQL · Data pipeline / ETL workflows • WHAT YOU GET AT CLARIUM
Responsibilities
• Drive system design, architecture, and technical direction for your team's projects • Write production code and set the technical bar through hands-on contribution, not just review • Mentor engineers through code review, pairing, and technical guidance — without formal management responsibility • Partner with Product to translate roadmap priorities into sound technical plans • Identify and resolve technical risk, tech debt, and cross-team dependencies before they become blockers • Establish and evolve engineering best practices, standards, and tooling across the team • Incentive Stock Options proportionate to your salary • Fully remote, with a NYC co-working space available; distributed team across multiple time zones with opportunities for in-person time • Unlimited PTO • Top-tier health, vision, and dental benefits
