Vibrant Planet - Application Software Engineer

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping full-stack web applications. • Hands-on experience turning designs into responsive, accessible UIs. You have worked closely with product and design partners. • Strong proficiency with SQL and relational databases. PostgreSQL experience is a bonus. • Comfortable working in a fully remote, fast-paced startup environment. • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship. • At least one of the following • Experience building interactive web maps with a working knowledge of geospatial fundamentals such as projections and spatial data formats (Geopackage, GeoTIFF, etc.). • Domain expertise in a natural science/resource field (forestry, ecology, remote sensing, fire science, meteorology, or related field). • Experience with Elixir and some front-end framework, preferably Phoenix LiveView. • Experience generating, serving, and consuming raster and vector tilesets (Tippecanoe, MBTiles/PMTiles). • Experience with PostGIS or other spatial database tooling.
