inato - Senior AI Engineer
Requirements
• Several years of engineering experience with machine learning, data science, or AI at the centre of your work, not alongside it. • You’ve shipped LLM-based features (OpenAI, Anthropic, RAG setup, agent setup, LLM observability tools etc.) that real users use, and you’ve lived with them afterwards: fixed them when they broke, iterated when they underperformed, watched how people actually used them. • Python proficiency • Strong communication skills, oral and written, both English and French • Strong product mindset able to challenge the product roadmap directly with our CPO • Knowledge about LLM’s evaluation challenges • Ability to autonomously deliver clean and production-ready code • 🤩 GOOD FITS WE SEE OFTEN • ML engineers and data scientists who moved into LLM work as it matured. • Researchers who moved into production. • Software engineers who went deep on AI and stayed there. • 😕 PROBABLY NOT A FIT • your AI work has been research, prototypes or POCs with nothing shipped and maintained in production. • you’ve spent most of your career in software engineering and shipped your first AI feature in the last year.
Responsibilities
• In this role, you'll take on complex challenges that will stretch your abilities and creativity: • Choose and orchestrate the right models to process and analyze multimodal data • Design and implement cutting-edge RAG techniques to efficiently handle large medical documents and patient histories • Build agentic systems to revolutionize key aspects of drug development such as patient recruitment or site selection • Work closely with cross-functional teams (software engineers, product managers, data engineers) to seamlessly integrate AI into our platform • Implement robust and scalable pipelines that meet production-grade engineering standards • Here are some examples of projects you might work on: • Our prescreening tool: an app relying on the latest reasoning models and visual RAG to accelerate patient recruitment. It's already being used across hundreds of clinical sites to assess patient eligibility at scale.
