vanta - Senior Web Developer
Requirements
• Prior experience participating in a CMS migration or re-platforming project (e.g., from Webflow or another monolithic CMS to a headless stack). • Familiarity with Webflow, particularly for context around legacy content structures or migration work. • Experience with design systems, Figma-to-code workflows, or component library development. • Knowledge of SEO/AEO strategy and tooling for marketing-focused web properties. • What you can expect as a Vanta’n: • Industry-competitive salary and equity • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, with 100% of employee-only benefit premiums covered for most medical plans • 16 weeks paid Parental Leave for all new parents • Health & wellness stipend • Remote workspace, internet, and cellphone stipend • Commuter benefits for team members who report to the SF and NYC office
Responsibilities
• 3–5 years of experience in web development, with hands-on professional experience in modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Next.js (or comparable React-based frameworks). • Solid proficiency in Next.js, with working familiarity of App Router, rendering strategies (SSG, ISR, SSR), and Vercel deployment. • Experience with headless CMS platforms, ideally Sanity CMS — including working with schemas, GROQ queries, and structured content. • Strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with a solid understanding of the DOM, accessibility, and browser rendering. • Proven ability to build multi-platform components (mobile and web) that are cross-browser compatible and responsive across device sizes. • Experience building accessible (WCAG), performant (Core Web Vitals), and localization-ready web experiences. • Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs and services into a Next.js stack, including analytics, tracking, and marketing tools. • Comfortable with Tailwind CSS for utility-first styling, and experienced working within a component-based design system. • Comfortable with modern developer tooling: TypeScript, CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and component-based development. • Openness to and experience with AI-assisted development workflows — using tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar to improve efficiency and code quality, not just as novelty. • A collaborative working style with strong communication skills — someone who engages actively, takes direction well, and contributes their perspective as part of a team. • Good problem-solving instincts and attention to detail. • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship. • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
