Responsibilities

• You’ll develop new features, squash bugs, and make meaningful improvements to a complex TypeScript/React/Redux codebase — all with an eye toward delivering real value to our users: homebuilders designing real homes for real people. Expect to: • TypeScript/React/Redux • Build features: Implement user-facing functionality that helps homebuilders design, customize, and visualize homes faster and more accurately • Build features: • Fix bugs and edge cases: Chase down tricky bugs and unexpected behavior in a large, real-world production system • Fix bugs and edge cases: • Improve the codebase: Refactor and evolve a mature React + TypeScript codebase to make it more maintainable, efficient, and friendly for future contributors • Improve the codebase: • Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with engineering teammates, product managers, and customer success to ensure what you ship is grounded in real-world user needs • Collaborate across disciplines: • Test with purpose: Write tests that increase confidence and prevent regressions • Test with purpose: • Grow and elevate: Contribute to a team culture that values curiosity, pragmatism, and thoughtful improvement • Grow and elevate: • You’re a pragmatic engineer who takes pride in delivering solid features to real users — and you care about the craft of building software that’s maintainable and resilient. You like working in a mature, complex codebase and improving it as you go. You enjoy debugging just as much as building new things because both lead to better outcomes for your users. • You might not be an expert yet in geometric modeling (things like meshes, BReps, or NURBS) but you're curious. If you just researched some of those and got even more excited about this opportunity, you're our kind of developer. • 4+ years of experience building production web applications • 4+ years • Solid skills in TypeScript, React, and Redux • TypeScript • React • Redux • Experience working in and improving large front-end / full-stack codebases • Interest in 3D graphics, visual tools, or design software (bonus if you’ve worked with WebGL or WebGPU) • A user-focused mindset: you care about the impact your work has on real people • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit • Professional fluency with modern development tools, including AI-assisted workflows, paired with clear ownership of the correctness, maintainability, and behavior of the code you produce. • Working at Higharc • Higharc has been remote first since our founding in 2018.
