Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related area • At least 3 years of general accounting experience, preferably within a SaaS company • Experience using NetSuite and Avalara in a professional setting, preferably within a SaaS company • Understanding of US GAAP accounting principles • Experience with multi-state tax compliance requirements • Experience with Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookup formulas required • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels of an organization • This position is open to applicants in the continental United States.
Responsibilities
• Assist with all tax reporting and compliance - state, local, and federal - we have employees in 43 states - using Avalara and payroll processor. • Handle all employee onboarding / offboarding and payroll reporting into NetSuite GL • Validate payroll and related tax compliance for reconciliation into NetSuite • Manage annual reporting for Contractors - 1099s • Assist with financial, tax, workers’ compensation and 401k audits • Assist with preparation and/or review of daily entries and month-end reconciliations • Document accounting processes and procedures to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls • Assist the Corporate Controller and Accounting Team with other projects as needed
