Requirements
• Required Experience, Qualifications, and Skills • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical accounting experience. • 5+ years of full accounting experience • Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero or NetSuite and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, or GAAP, and a strong understanding of Sarbanes Oxley compliance processes, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements. • Strong organizational, time management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and partner effectively across teams. • High degree of accuracy and analytical ability, including the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve accounting discrepancies and process inefficiencies. • Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Skills • Progress toward CPA certification. • Experience with a publicly traded company or public accounting firm. • Experience in a startup or other fast paced environment. • Experience with robotics, manufacturing, or technology companies, including exposure to inventory management or cost accounting processes. • Demonstrated ability to adapt and operate effectively in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy. • Perform account reconciliations, including bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reconciliations, and resolve identified discrepancies. • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain an accurate and current general ledger. • Review, classify, and record expenses in accordance with company policies and applicable budget guidelines. • Oversee key accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, accruals, and prepaid expenses. • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and providing timely, accurate responses to requests. • Monitor accounting activities for compliance with GAAP, SOX requirements, internal controls, and established company procedures. • Identify and recommend process improvements that strengthen controls and increase the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
