Responsibilities
• Own and manage audit ready VAT compliance for the EMEA region, includingregistrations, filings, payments, indirect tax account reconciliation, and ongoingobligations • Provide critical support during VAT audits in EMEA, including data analysis,documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders • Partner closely with Tax Technology and Engineering teams to identify gaps and resolvethem, e.g. data accuracy, process enhancements, system implementations, etc. • Conduct independent VAT and indirect tax research and clearly communicate findingsand recommendations • Provide support to audit of financial statements; • Build, maintain, and continuously improve VAT-related documentation to ensure it meetsthe company’s high internal standards as well as applicable industry and regulatoryexpectations; • Proactively identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologiesto improve VAT compliance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, including automation ofdata analysis, research, and audit support processes. • 4+ years of experience in international indirect taxes, with a strong focus on EMEA VAT • Strong understanding of VAT compliance, audit processes, and regulatory requirementsacross multiple EMEA jurisdictions • Proven ability to perform tax research independently or with minimal guidance • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translatetechnical VAT concepts for non-tax and technical stakeholders • High level of curiosity and an ownership-driven, proactive mindset • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving e-commerce environment
