Requirements
• 1–3 years of professional software development experience (or equivalent internships, co‑ops, or applied project work) • Experience across multiple phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and support • Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented design • Experience building performant, reliable, or highly available systems (academic, professional, or personal projects) • Ability to reason about trade‑offs and choose appropriate tools or approaches for a given problem • A strong sense of ownership and accountability for the systems you help build • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to continuously learn and improve • $140,000 - $155,000 a year • Additionally, certain positions at Belvedere Trading are eligible for discretionary bonuses. Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and enhance scalable, extensible applications that support real‑time trading across multiple asset classes • Implement, test, deploy, and maintain performance‑critical systems with a focus on reliability and correctness • Troubleshoot and support production applications in time‑sensitive environments • Collaborate with engineers, quantitative researchers, and project stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code that meets high quality standards • Analyze and solve complex technical problems, balancing performance, readability, and extensibility • Participate in code reviews and apply best practices in software design and development • Continuously learn about trading systems, markets, and new technologies through hands‑on work and team knowledge sharing
