Requirements
• 6+ years of software engineering experience • Experience leading teams of engineers with demonstrated impact on technical strategy • A generalist software engineering mindset ready to learn new languages, frameworks, and techniques required for a fast paced startup environment • Demonstrated ability to build complex systems using AI coding agents (we use Claude Code) • Able to learn quickly and mentor others • Familiarity with data security and HIPAA compliance • A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback • Technologies we use: • Claude Code, Kubernetes, AWS, Airflow, DBT, Python, TypeScript, React, Go • This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing company in a transformative role, helping shape the future of healthcare.
Responsibilities
• Garner is headquartered in NYC, but this position is available for individuals who are comfortable with remote work and occasional travel to HQ. • Lead team-level technical strategy and execution on multi-quarter time horizons • Use AI to build, optimize, and maintain software systems • Uplevel engineers across the organization by raising the technical bar • Collaborate across disciplines to understand our domain and iterate on projects • Protect our users’ privacy and security through best practices
Benefits
• The target salary range for this position is $231,000 - $260,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws.
