Requirements
• Experience: 4–5+ years of direct engineering management experience, ideally leading teams through a period of rapid growth in a series B or C startup. • Startup DNA: You have thrived in a scaling startup environment. Responsibilities
• Lead & Mentor: Directly manage, coach, and grow a team of high-performing engineers. You will conduct impactful 1:1s, guide career development, and ensure your team feels valued and recognized. • Lead & Mentor: • Tame the Chaos: Bring exceptional organizational skills to our engineering operations. You will identify bottlenecks, improve documentation standards (like PRDs), and create clear, lightweight processes that speed us up rather than slow us down. • Tame the Chaos: • Protect the Team: Actively monitor team workloads to ensure we are delivering high-quality work sustainably, guarding against burnout and maintaining healthy boundaries. • Protect the Team: • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as a bridge between Engineering, Product, Design, Data, Care, and more. The base pay for this role is determined using many factors, such as education, skills and experience and is reflective of Clair Series stage and size. Base pay is only one part of Clair’s competitive total compensation package which includes equity, benefits and additional perks.
