Maybell Quantum Industries - Lead Mechanical Engineer
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in an engineering field, or equivalent experience • 10-15 years of working experience in a mechanical design role, preferably with capital equipment and machine design • Exceptional CAD and product documentation skills • Experience with designing machined components, sheet metal and weldments with an emphasis on DFM • Self-starter with ability to drive results independently • Demonstrated ability to bring complex products from concept to production • Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to adapt and perform in a fast paced and dynamic organization. • Experience in Ansys or equivalent analysis software • Working knowledge of the ASME Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing standard • Experience working with product safety standards (NRTL and CE) • Strong hands-on experience building prototypes, test apparatus, and fixtures. • Machine shop and fabrication skills • A strong understanding of software and electrical systems to inform design decisions and product architectures
Responsibilities
• Design and development of Maybell products from the ground up • Ideate system and sub-system concepts and perform trade-off analysis to determine the best solutions. • Translate high level customer needs into product and technical requirements and use them to drive design decisions. • Create complex mechanical designs, drawings and documentation for parts and assemblies following DFX principles to develop the most efficient and high-quality products. • Maintain ownership over sub-system development and sustaining activities including project and resource planning, gathering of documentation and requirements, and execution of ECOs. • Work closely with manufacturing and operations to ensure a smooth transition from concept to a fully scalable high-quality products
