• 8+ years of experience in mobile development, with extensive native experience on iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin).
• Hands-on experience integrating BLE peripheral devices into production mobile apps, including pairing/bonding, reconnection, background operation, and data throughput (e.g., Core Bluetooth, Android BLE APIs).
• Experience with sensor integration or streaming health data from wearables.
• A rigorous approach to reliability: you care about edge cases, device fragmentation, and performance.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative, async environment.
• Built production React Native apps, or written native modules for React Native or Expo.
• Worked with TypeScript and our broader stack (React Native, Expo, GitHub).
• Worked with medical devices, EEG, or wearables.
• Worked on apps for clinical trials, patients, or another regulated environment.
• Contributed to open source mobile or BLE projects.
• The salary range for this role is $150,000 – $190,000. Salary ranges are determined using current market compensation data for this role and adjusted based on experience, skills, and location. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which includes equity, PTO, and other benefits.
