Aktos - Staff Platform Engineer - Remote

• Backend Engineer Expertise: • Python/Django (Django required) • Python + DB Performance optimization • API / SFTP Integrations (must have experience) • Feature Development experience • DevOps/SRE Expertise: • Will need to be comfortable with AWS, Maintaining EKS (Kubernetes on AWS). • Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Github Actions, AWS, Postgres, Redis. • 5+ Years of Professional Software Development Experience • 2+ Years of Professional SRE/DevOps Experience • Professional experience maintaining/enhancing Kubernetes cluster via IaaC [Terraform experience preferred]. • Professional experience with Python (2+ years required) • Strong fundamental understanding and usage of a RDBMS [Postgres preferred] • In-depth knowledge and hands on experience with AWS • Solid engineering fundamentals and passion for high quality code • Product intuition, user empathy, ability to make sound UX decisions • Strong work ethic, end-to-end ownership mentality
