Requirements
• A degree in Design or related field (Cognitive Science or Psychology, Computer science/Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) / Human Factors, Information Science / Information Design.) • Experience designing B2B or enterprise SaaS products • Comfortable owning the full arc, from discovery and research through to shipped execution, including running research yourself across a range of methodologies • Strong visual design skills, typography, color, and hierarchy, at a level that raises the bar for the whole product rather than matching what's already there • Deep Figma fluency, including component libraries, auto-layout, and developer-ready handoff • Comfortable using AI tools like LLMs, Claude Code, Codex, etc. in your design practice and look for where they can reshape it • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with practical experience partnering with product managers and engineers in an agile environment • Experience working directly with engineering in a scrum process • Not required but what would make you stand out: • Practical experience designing products that involve the use of collecting, analyzing, reporting, and sharing data and insights • Experience designing AI features with attention to explainability, confidence signals, and graceful failure. • You follow your nose: when a design decision or research finding catches your attention, you ask why, work backwards to the real problem, and look for a better answer. • UpMetrics Values • Our company values influence everything we do, from our work inside the office to how we choose our partners: • Team First — Collaboration is key. We support each other, respect each other’s strengths, varying backgrounds and views. We value everyone’s input. • Client Focused — Our work is personal.
