Requirements

• Experience with the development of generative AI applications • 5+ years as a PM. You have seen a significant product through a full lifecycle of discovery, development, launch, and adoption. Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. Responsibilities

• As the Director of Product for Maps, you will be responsible for driving the vision and strategy for the Maps product portfolio. This product portfolio enables developers to serve over 650M global MAUs through high-performance APIs and client libraries that serve dynamic maps, customizable styles, and interactive interfaces in the most well-known consumer applications worldwide. This set of products is often our customers’ first entry point to the Mapbox platform and solutions. • You will envision, coordinate, and align the roadmap through a team of product managers, influencing multiple products and teams to drive a consistent map rendering, design, and customization experience for our customers, from novice users who want really intuitive, yet powerful defaults, to power users who want the flexibility to customize their maps in real-time based on their users and environment. You’ll dive deep into the nuances of digital mapping, keeping a clear eye on how we can simplify development of geospatial applications, abstract away unnecessary complexity from our customers, and invent on behalf of our customers to reimagine end-user experiences. • You will obsess over both quantitative and qualitative metrics that help define the success of your product portfolio and teams. You will lead a collaborative team that will look to you as a partner in thinking big, validating growth opportunities, and executing with conviction. As a leader, you will help the team execute with focus, enabling them to deliver their best work. Though prior technical experience is not required, being able to stretch technically and understand complex systems will be helpful. • What’s Important for this Role: • 10+ years of technical product management and leadership experience. • Conceptualized and delivered consumer-oriented or consumer-facing products. • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to envision, influence, and establish an ambitious yet realistic product roadmap and effectively communicate this vision to customers and the organization. • Experience in a high-accountability environment, with the ability to build, operationalize, and scale technically distributed organizations (engineering, product, design, data scientists, etc.). • Ability to think strategically in a high-growth and fast-paced business, building conviction through data, analysis, reasoning, and experimentation. • Demonstrated ability to drive go-to-market strategies that have resulted in successful product adoption and revenue generation. • Experience with profit and loss responsibility for a business unit.
