Requirements
• Execute end-to-end settlement operations for institutional clients, including receiving, verifying, and processing requests accurately and on time. • Reconcile activity across internal systems and external venues (e.g., banking portals, custodians/exchanges) and use blockchain explorers to validate on-chain transactions. • Maintain strong documentation and controls for repeatable settlement workflows; contribute to runbooks and knowledge-sharing. • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the crypto industry’s landscape, tokens/protocols, and different verticals in which they’re deployed (staking, governance, etc.) Is capable of navigating and learning various systems and tools such as Salesforce, JIRA, Looker. • Partner cross-functionally (Trading, Client Ops, Risk, Compliance, Product/Engineering) to improve tools, reduce manual steps, and strengthen controls. • ## Complexity and Impact of Work: • Manage the complexities of settling transactions across a wide range of digital assets and fiat currencies under strict time constraints. • Prioritize competing demands, resolve discrepancies, and escalate appropriately to protect clients and the firm. • Manage the complexities of reconciling and settling transactions involving a wide range of digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, tokenized assets as well as fiat currencies. • Contribute to process improvements and projects that increase throughput, resiliency, and auditability of settlement operations. • ## Organizational Knowledge: • Stay current with evolving crypto market structure, operational best practices, and relevant regulatory/compliance requirements. • Build fluency in Anchorage’s products, systems, and downstream dependencies to anticipate impacts of process changes. • Ensure knowledge is shared across the team and avoid single points of failure by documenting and cross-training. • ## Communication and Influence: • Communicate clearly and calmly during incidents, escalations, or high-pressure settlement windows. • Build strong relationships with internal partners and external counterparties; drive alignment on timelines, next steps, and required inputs. • Contribute thoughtfully to team discussions and continuously improve how information is shared (status updates, post-mortems, playbooks). • ## You may be a fit for this role if you have: • 2+ years of experience in operations, settlements, reconciliations, or post-trade support (digital assets, fintech, or traditional finance) • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive workflows concurrently • Experience reconciling transactions and balances across systems; comfort investigating breaks and documenting findings • Familiarity with blockchain concepts and using explorers to validate transactions (or strong willingness to learn quickly) • Clear communication skills with a strong sense of ownership and a practical, risk-aware mindset • ## Although not a requirement, bonus points if you have: • Experience supporting institutional clients and/or working with counterparties (exchanges, banks, custodians) • Experience with operational tooling, reporting, or automation (SQL, Python, Looker, Retool, etc.) • Prior exposure to AML/compliance workflows or regulated financial environments
