• Collaborate across the broader finance team and business stakeholders, building effective relationships and ensuring timely, accurate financial information flows across the organization • Drive continuous improvement in financial controls, accounting processes, and reporting procedures, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and strengthen our financial foundation. • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 4-7 years of accounting experience, gained in public accounting or industry roles, ideally in multi-entity or international environments. • Strong Excel capabilities, accounting system knowledge, and ability to pick up new tools and processes quickly. • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills, you understand accounting standards and controls and can navigate complex transactions. • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, you maintain high standards while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, you investigate issues thoroughly and drive resolution, often taking ownership of solutions. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management, you build trust with colleagues, external auditors, and senior management. • Natural mentor, you help junior team members develop skills, ask good questions, and take pride in building capability in others. • Strong organisation and time management, you juggle multiple work streams, manage competing deadlines, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. • Experience with multi-entity consolidation and group financial reporting • Background with modern accounting platforms (Xero, NetSuite, or equivalent) • Exposure to energy, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industries • Experience with regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions • WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE • Financial operations run smoothly, AR/AP is accurate and timely, month-end close happens predictably without fire-fighting, and senior management trusts the numbers. • Your junior team members are developing stronger skills and ownership, they come to you for guidance, and you're actively building their capability. • External auditors value you as a partner, they know you'll provide clean documentation, resolve queries promptly, and stand behind our accounting positions. • You've become the trusted voice on technical accounting matters, stakeholders across finance and operations come to you to understand complex transactions and financial implications. • You're shaping how the finance function scales, identifying process improvements, building stronger controls, and ensuring our accounting foundation supports rapid growth.
