Remote Senior EMEA Banking Payments Accountant Accounts Payable Xero

Responsibilities

• Own the Accounts Payable process: supplier invoice review and coding (ApprovalMax/Xero), payment preparation, supplier statement reconciliations and vendor master data • Prepare and manage general ledger entries, accruals and prepayments • Monthly, quarterly and annual closes for all group entities, in collaboration with external accounting firms • Balance sheet and bank reconciliations, and account analysis to ensure balances are correct and supported • Monthly intercompany reconciliations, recharges and settlements across group entities • Supporting VAT and other tax compliance across jurisdictions (VAT returns, reverse charge, withholding taxes), working with our external tax advisors • Prepare audit files and support the annual and interim audits of the group entities • Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes, contributing your own ideas • Manage both technical and routine accounting tasks with a high degree of accuracy and consistency
