OKX - Senior Staff Software Engineer, Mobile Infrastructure

• Build and maintain mobile infrastructure, tooling, and shared frameworks that improve engineering efficiency and developer experience across the organisation. • Analyse and optimise application code at the UI and infrastructure layer, including memory footprint, package size, startup time, and rendering performance. • Design and develop reusable, scalable mobile components for use across iOS and Android platforms. • Partner with product engineering teams to deliver infrastructure solutions, establish best practices, and drive technical standards. • Drive architecture innovations that support world-class mobile app development at scale. • Optimise project structure and engineering workflows to improve productivity, quality, and release velocity. • Stay current with mobile platform developments and emerging toolchain innovations, evaluating and adopting what moves the needle. • What We Look For In You • 6+ years of native iOS or Android development experience, with a strong track record in infrastructure, platform, or architecture work. • Deep expertise in either iOS (Swift/Objective-C/C++) or Android (Kotlin/Java, Jetpack), with confidence contributing across both platforms. • Actively uses AI tools in your engineering workflow — including building AI-leveraged workflows, curating domain knowledge bases, and codifying repeatable agent skills so tools like Claude Code or Codex deliver reliably on real production work. • Proven experience optimising app performance — memory, package size, startup time, and UI rendering — in production environments at scale. • Deep understanding of design patterns, architectural principles, and the mobile SDK layer for building scalable, high-performance components. • Working knowledge of remote APIs, concurrency, layouts, transitions, animations, client-side persistence, and mobile architectural patterns. • Strong communication skills — comfortable collaborating across global teams and delivering large-scale engineering outcomes independently. • Nice-To-Haves • Nice-To-Haves • Experience working in a dedicated mobile architecture or infrastructure team with deep platform specialisation. • Hands-on experience across performance optimisation, toolchain engineering, automated testing frameworks, or design pattern standardisation. • Experience working across both iOS and Android in a production infrastructure context. • Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter. • Experience in fintech, crypto, or other high-scale consumer app environments.
