Remote People - Product Manager - Billing and Pricing (APAC)
Requirements
• 4+ years in product, with experience owning complex B2B SaaS or fintech products: billing, invoicing, pricing, or financial operations. • Strong product fundamentals. You manage your product, not your backlog. • Excellent stakeholder management skills. You cross bridges without burning them. • You practice concise communication. No corporate slop. A 5 year old can explain your PRDs to your engineering team. • You've worked on platform-level products with real system complexity: data models, integrations, cross-service dependencies and you know how to reason about trade-offs across product, operations, and engineering • Strong commercial instinct: you understand how pricing architecture, invoice accuracy, and collection timing connect to the P&L • You define success metrics before scoping and revisit them when things aren't moving • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, cross-functional environments — you drive clarity rather than waiting for it • You've worked in a high-trust, autonomous team structure; you need context, access to customers, and clear business goals, not a feature list • You know how to leverage AI as a force multiplier without outsourcing your judgement • Hands-on experience with ERP integrations (Netsuite, Xero etc) is advantageous. • What it's like working at Remote People • Our service & product. Responsibilities
• Own the product strategy and roadmap for your area, from problem definition through delivery and iteration • Lead discovery with Finance, Payroll, Operations, ensuring we solve manual bottlenecks, avoid invoice errors and create trust with our customers • Partner with engineering and design as a true triad, facilitating problem discovery and solution design as a team • Improve how payroll cost changes, pricing adjustments, and invoice discrepancies are surfaced and resolved, reducing escalations and rework for Ops and Payroll teams • Own the payroll-to-invoice validation layer; ensure invoices are accurate, clear and understandable • Build a path to correcting invoices without the complexities of cancelling and reissuing, eliminating unnecessary reissuing • Maintain an accurate SSOT for pricing across the platform while allowing the flexibility to change as the sales cycle demands, ensuring fees and billing configuration don't break downstream invoice data
