• Essentials • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. • 5+ years of software engineering experience. • Strong ability to understand complex business processes quickly and translate them into effective technical solutions. • Strong organisational and communication skills, with experience collaborating across teams and stakeholder groups. • Solid software engineering skills, with experience in backend or frontend development using Kotlin, Java, React, or TypeScript. • Hands-on experience building scalable, robust automation or workflow systems. • A self-driven and proactive approach to identifying problems and driving improvements. • Experience contributing to architectural discussions, code reviews, system reliability, performance, and scalability. • The ability to mentor or guide engineers and act as a technical role model as the team grows. • Preferred • Experience leading or mentoring engineers, ideally as a team lead or project lead. • Experience applying AI or machine learning to real-world problems, particularly automation or risk detection. • Familiarity with automation and workflow tools in cloud environments, such as AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines. • Experience working in fintech, payments, or a fast-growing technology environment. • Familiarity with compliance, risk control, or user onboarding domains. • You'll thrive here if • You're comfortable owning the roadmap yourself. • You're comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and moving quickly anyway. • You own the outcome and you don't wait for permission to fix what's broken. • You enjoy working closely with people across multiple countries and time zones as part of one connected, global team, including flexing your hours occasionally to make that connection work. • You value in-person collaboration and are happy being in the office five days a week. • You simplify complexity rather than hiding behind it.
