Requirements
• 10+ years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience, preferably in cybersecurity or advanced technology sectors • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in complex, consultative sales environments • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts (encryption, threat landscapes, compliance frameworks) • Experience selling to large enterprises or government agencies • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills • Ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to operate in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders internally and externally • Strategic thinking and solution-oriented selling • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management • Self-starter with high accountability and ownership mindset • Experience in quantum computing, AI, security, or emerging technologies • Familiarity with post-quantum cryptography or security transformation initiatives • Existing network within cybersecurity leadership (CISO-level relationships) • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment • The approximate base salary range for this position is $147,712 - $192,621. The total compensation package includes base, bonus, and equity, as well as a range of benefit options available on our career site. • Compensation will vary based on individual factors such as education, qualifications, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location, and calibration against relevant market data and internal team equity. Posted base salary figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available. Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting security-focused enterprise and commercial organizations • Identify opportunities related to quantum-safe encryption, cybersecurity resilience, and post-quantum readiness • Build and maintain strong relationships with CIOs, CISOs, IT leaders, and executive decision-makers • Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, solution positioning, negotiation, and closing • Collaborate with core sales, engineering, & technical teams to tailor solutions that align with customer security needs • Educate customers on the impact of quantum computing on cybersecurity and encryption • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management using CRM tools • Represent IonQ at industry events, conferences, and client engagements
