Requirements
• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering • Deep expertise with AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation/Terraform) • Strong Terraform experience (modules, state management, CI/CD integration) • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar) • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS) • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, or similar) • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) • Experience working in regulated environments (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2) • Experience with Windows Server and .NET application deployments • Experience migrating legacy on-premises workloads to AWS • Experience with SQL Server administration or migration to RDS • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) • Experience mentoring or leading small teams • Physical requirements for this role include the ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, and reach for equipment and supplies, make frequent repetitive motions required to operate a computer that include the wrists, hands and fingers, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 20 pounds. Responsibilities
• Own and manage the Hospice AWS infrastructure using Terraform (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Backup) • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for .NET applications transitioning from legacy deployment processes • Execute the cloud cost optimization roadmap: right-sizing, Savings Plans, storage tiering • Plan and lead the migration from EC2-based workloads to modern architectures (EKS, Lambda, Step Functions) • Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability (Datadog, CloudWatch) • Ensure HITRUST E1 compliance and security best practices across all environments • Mentor and upskill the Hospice application team on AWS operations and modern SDLC practices • Collaborate with DBA team on the SQL Server EC2 to RDS migration • Manage production patching, backup/DR, and incident response for the Hospice platform
