Requirements
• Proven experience delivering high-quality visual, motion, or brand work that has shipped into the real world. We care far more about what you’ve made than how long you’ve been doing it • Strong motion and animation skills (non-negotiable) • A portfolio showing brand expression, motion, video, and storytelling • Exceptional visual taste and attention to detail • Comfortable working as a strong IC in a fast-moving environment • Able to move from idea → execution without hand-holding • Confident collaborating with founders, engineers, and marketers • AI-first mindset, using modern tools to accelerate creative output • Bias toward shipping real work, not polishing decks or process • You care deeply about quality, but are pragmatic enough to know when it’s time to ship • Film, editing, or cinematography experience • Light frontend coding or implementation awareness • Experience helping build a brand from zero → one • You’re a special breed of brand and motion designer with impeccable taste and a deep obsession with visual storytelling. You’re methodical, clear in how you communicate, and driven to ship. You take ideas from early spark to clarity — and then push them further through exceptional craft. • You care deeply about how things look and feel because it shapes how people understand and trust a product. Responsibilities
• Own Grand’s visual and motion identity across brand, marketing, and product storytelling. • Design and produce brand films, motion graphics, social content, and launch materials. • Define and evolve our motion language — how the brand moves, transitions, and communicates. • Work hands-on across motion, animation, video, and visual design. • Use AI as a default creative accelerator for ideation, iteration, and production. • Collaborate closely with the entire team to tell the product story through motion and visual storytelling. • Raise the quality of everything we put into the world through relentless execution. • Build visual systems that scale across channels (web, social, video, product moments). • Rapidly concept, prototype, and ship creative ideas — from scrappy experiments to polished deliverables. • Balance speed and taste — moving fast without lowering the bar.
