We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. We want team members at all levels to take the approach of actively learning AI best practices, identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways, and driving innovative solutions in their daily work. Embracing the future of AI isn't just encouraged—it's an essential part of how we will be successful at 1Password. • This approach extends to our hiring process—candidates are welcome to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully during the application process. • Our approach to remote work
Responsibilities
• Operating cadence ownership: Design, run, and evolve core operating cadences for Platform and Product Engineering (e.g., delivery reviews, business reviews, leadership/all-hands inputs, calibration support), ensuring clear agendas, inputs, owners, and follow-ups — including AI-assisted agenda drafting, synthesis, and action tracking where appropriate. • Lightweight mechanisms: Create repeatable mechanisms to gather updates and unblock decisions without adding unnecessary process. • Delivery visibility and reporting: Partner with Product Operations, TPMs, and functional leaders to ensure end-to-end delivery status reporting rhythm and artifacts, leveraging AI tools to accelerate rollups, identify gaps, and spot emerging risks/dependencies. • Executive-ready synthesis: Synthesize cross-team updates into decision-ready narratives that clarify progress, risks, tradeoffs, and decisions needed — using AI tools to draft, summarize, and tighten narratives while applying strong judgment and fact-checking. • Milestone, dependency, and risk management: Establish and maintain tracking for broader org programs and business initiatives across Platform and Product Engineering (e.g., planning/forecasting cycles, operating cadences, cross-org readiness work, and other non-delivery initiatives), including AI-supported signal detection (e.g., trend spotting, overdue follow-ups, dependency mapping). • Cross-team alignment: Drive alignment on program milestones, owners, and timelines; surface risks, constraints, and tradeoffs early. • Escalation paths: Maintain clear escalation paths and decision forums for program-level risks, resourcing constraints, and cross-team dependencies. • Cross-functional partnership: Partner with Product Ops, Finance, and relevant org partners to support planning/forecasting inputs and consistent reporting. • Coordination across functions: Coordinate across functions (e.g., Product, Security, IT, Experience Design) when initiatives span multiple teams. • Continuous improvement: Identify friction and failure modes in the operating system (e.g., late updates, unclear ownership, repeated misalignment) and propose, pilot, and roll out improvements grounded in measurable outcomes and stakeholder feedback. • AI-enabled operating system improvements: Identify opportunities to responsibly apply AI to reduce overhead and increase clarity (e.g., automated intake/triage, meeting capture and summaries, status rollups, FAQ/knowledge curation), and establish lightweight guidelines for quality, privacy, and traceability.
