Requirements
• 3+ years of experience managing high-performing platform and backend teams building on distributed architecture. • 7+ years of hands-on backend experience working on large scale, low latency distributed systems, event streaming, databases, and cloud infrastructure. • Strong technical background - ideally familiar with technologies like Kafka, ClickHouse, Postgres, Redis, and Flink. • Proven track record of operational excellence, including establishing disciplined planning processes and consistently delivering predictable, high-quality execution against business commitments. • Proven ability to scale engineering organizations by defining effective development processes, driving engineering excellence, and embedding best practices across multiple teams. • Track record of leading complex technical projects and collaborating cross-functionally with product and infra. • Comfortable in high-growth, fast-paced environments with lots of ambiguity and autonomy.
Responsibilities
• Lead high-impact engineering teams: Manage high-performing remote engineering teams with accountability for delivery, execution quality, and team health in a fast-paced environment. • Technical strategy & reliability: Own the architecture and reliability of high-scale systems that process millions of daily events with minimal latency. Define and drive the technical roadmap. • Process innovation: Implement scalable engineering processes across planning, estimation, quality, and production reliability. Incorporate AI-driven methodologies to improve team productivity. • Drive operational excellence: Lead planning and delivery cycles, ensuring teams stay focused and execute against aggressive deadlines. • Cross-functional impact: Partner with product and design teams to align roadmaps and execution plans. • Extreme ownership: Foster a high-performance culture centered on technical excellence, rapid iteration, and shared accountability. • Talent & leadership development: Attract, mentor, and retain top engineering talent while building a strong leadership bench for a scaling organization.

It’s the core of the product. You’ll work closely with cross-functional leads in product, infrastructure, and AI to help define technical strategy, drive execution, and grow our engineering culture. You’ll have to co-ordinate and work with people in North America.
