ExtraHop - Senior Software Engineer | Cloud

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 6–8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant focus on cloud infrastructure and distributed systems. • Proven ability to independently design, build, and operate production-grade systems at scale. • Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or similar languages, with experience building distributed services. • Deep expertise in Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm). • Strong experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, SQS, IAM), including designing and operating systems in production. • Demonstrated ownership of systems, including on-call, incident response, and long-term reliability improvements. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguous, complex technical challenges. • Effective communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions across teams. • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. • Expertise in cloud security best practices, including identity, encryption, and compliance frameworks. • Experience designing and scaling high-availability distributed systems with automated failover and self-healing capabilities. • Strong knowledge of observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). • Experience with event-driven architectures and microservices. • Familiarity with HashiCorp ecosystem tools (Vault, Consul, Packer). • Experience contributing to or defining engineering standards, patterns, or platform strategy. • The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000 + bonus + benefits. • ExtraHop is reinventing Network Detection and Response (NDR) to offer enterprises unparalleled visibility, context, and control against emerging threats.
