Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the interconnection team, ensuring high-quality technical delivery and client satisfaction. • Allocate resources effectively and review/approve technical reports prior to client submission. • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members. • Client & Project Leadership • Lead kickoff meetings with generation and large load developers. • Present and explain E Source’s interconnection services across major ISOs/RTOs, including CAISO, MISO, SPP, PJM, ERCOT, NYISO, and other jurisdictions. • Support clients throughout the full interconnection lifecycle, including: • o Available transmission & distribution capacity analysis for site selection • o Interconnection application preparation and support through completion • o Model development and testing • o ISO/TO study review at each decision point • o Owner’s engineering support • o Energy market analysis • Interpret and clearly communicate complex study results and technical requirements to clients. • Address client questions and provide strategic guidance at each stage of the interconnection process. • Business Development & Market Engagement • Partner with sales teams to achieve revenue targets and expand interconnection services into new markets and client segments. • Develop and enhance market awareness of the company’s capabilities and value proposition. • Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and speaking engagements. • Build and maintain strong relationships with renewable generation and data center developers. • Contribute to a culture of clarity, curiosity, and continuous improvement • You’re likely a great fit if you: • Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and asking smart questions • Can synthesize complex information into clear recommendations • Work well across disciplines and perspectives • Care about quality, clarity, and real-world impact • And even better if you: • Have experience working with or around utilities, energy, consulting, research, or adjacent fields • Deep technical expertise in transmission planning and interconnection • Strong leadership • Client engagement • Business development capabilities • Experience and Skills to Qualify Include: • Deep technical expertise in power system engineering, transmission planning, and generator/load interconnection processes across major ISOs/RTOs (e.g., CAISO, MISO, PJM, ERCOT, SPP, NYISO). • Strong understanding of the clean energy landscape, including renewable generation, battery energy storage (BESS), large load/data centers, and evolving grid technologies. • 10+ years of progressive experience in power systems engineering, utility consulting, or related fields, with demonstrated leadership responsibility. • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and scale high-performing technical teams while ensuring quality, consistency, and timely project delivery. • Demonstrated success in collaborating with sales and marketing teams to develop client solutions, support proposals, and drive revenue growth. • Strong business acumen with a track record of contributing to or leading business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, shaping service offerings, and closing projects. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, client-focused insights for both technical and non-technical audiences. • Established industry presence, including experience representing organizations at conferences, industry forums, and client engagements. • Strong network within utilities, ISOs/RTOs, developers, and other key stakeholders in the transmission and interconnection space. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree or P.Eng./PE preferred).
