Requirements
• 2–3 years of professional experience building frontend applications • Experience working with Vue.js and TypeScript in production environments • Solid understanding of modern frontend fundamentals (component architecture, state management, APIs, etc.) • Curiosity and openness to using modern tools, including AI, to work more effectively and ship faster • Experience building responsive, user-friendly interfaces • Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, and backend engineers • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment and learning new systems quickly • Strong attention to detail and pride in writing high-quality, production-ready code • A genuine interest in building technology that makes a positive impact • Exceptional Candidates Will Have • Experience building accessible web applications, including familiarity with accessibility best practices • Experience with the Vue Composition API and building highly organized and reusable components • Experience thriving in environments that favor iteration, ownership, and getting working software into users’ hands quickly • Strong intuition for usability and user-centered design • Experience working on complex, data-heavy frontend applications • Familiarity with modern frontend tooling and workflows (Vite, testing frameworks, linting, etc.) • An allergy to assuming someone else will catch or solve issues; proactively takes initiative to identify, analyze, communicate, and drive improvements and fixes • Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and improve as an engineer • A builder’s mindset — excitement about shipping features and seeing them used in the real world • At GiveCard, You’ll Enjoy • Working alongside very smart people on technology that genuinely matters. • A remote-friendly work environment with a dog-friendly office in Manhattan • A minimum of 25 days of PTO • 100% medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage for you and your family • Generous parental leave • Expected compensation of $120,000 – $140,000, based on level and experience.
Responsibilities
• Build and improve the frontend interfaces used by GiveCard. • Work closely with product, design, and backend engineering teams. • Ensure consistent high-quality user experiences across admin tools and cardholder web applications. • Ship features iteratively based on real user feedback to continuously enhance the product. • Collaborate with other engineers to turn ideas into production-ready frontend features using Vue.js, TypeScript, or similar technologies as needed. • Contribute to and improve GiveCard's existing codebase by writing clean and maintainable TypeScript/Vue code. • Uphold high standards for accessibility, usability, and performance in the products developed. • Learn about GiveCard’s product and technology stack quickly and take increasing ownership of frontend areas over time.
