Requirements
• 5–10 years of experience in consulting or high-growth startups, ideally in business development, partnerships, strategy or market expansion roles • Strong experience working in or with East Asia markets, particularly China ecosystems • Strong commercial judgment, with the ability to assess trade-offs across speed, economics, regulatory constraints, and long-term strategic value • Highly autonomous and comfortable operating as a self-starter in unstructured, zero-to-one environments • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust across cultures and stakeholders • Execution-focused, with a bias toward action and the ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously • Comfortable in high-growth, fast-changing environments, with adaptability to shifting priorities and cross-border complexity • Experience in fintech, payments, or other regulated industries is a plus • Fluent in English; Mandarin strongly preferred • TAPTAP VALUES https://www.taptapsend.com/our-values • Propose solutions • Be proactively candid, with yourself and others • Love the particular • Create positive energy • Maybe, even have fun
Responsibilities
• Own end-to-end partnership development globally, with a focus on Greater China and East Asia corridors — from opportunity identification through to launch • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new markets, partners, and expansion opportunities based on commercial impact and feasibility • Source, structure, negotiate, and execute partnerships with banks, fintechs, payment providers, and ecosystem players • Build and maintain strong relationships with global partners, navigating local business practices and regulatory environments • Drive multiple workstreams in parallel (market research, partner outreach, deal execution) to accelerate time-to-launch • Identify risks early across regulatory, commercial, and operational dimensions, and take pragmatic action to keep progress on track • Act as a trusted execution partner to leadership, turning strategic priorities into concrete actions and driving momentum with partners
