Requirements
• Have 6+ years of hands-on data engineering experience with 3+ years of consistent agile leadership experience, ideally in a relevant industry working on regulated data • Incredible people skills, communication, and organizational skills • Deep practical experience with AWS (Redshift, Athena RDS (Postgres), S3, MSK, Glue, Lake Formation, etc.), Kafka, Apache Iceberg, and data orchestration tools such as Terraform, Prefect, and dbt • Experience with Python, SQL, back-end development and shell scripting • Deep technical knowledge in data modeling, data replication, and database design • Experience designing and operating large-scale, distributed systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and security. • Solid software testing, documentation, and debugging practices in the context of distributed systems • Experience managing an agile team with modern source control (git), code review, and CI/CD systems and methodologies • Knowledge of modern AI and ML tooling, such as vector databases, feature stores, ML platforms (e.g., Vertex AI, SageMaker), and generative AI frameworks and APIs used to build data- and AI-driven products. • Familiarity with AI-assisted developer and data tools (e.g., code assistants, AI-powered data quality, lineage, and documentation tools) and how to integrate them into engineering workflows safely and effectively. • We value diversity and believe the unique contributions each of us brings drives our success.
