Requirements

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) • 8+ years of tax experience, including substantial indirect tax experience within a multinational corporate environment • Hands-on experience with global indirect tax compliance, audits, and operational support across multiple jurisdictions, including successful resolution of controversy matters with tax authorities • A proven track record of hiring, mentoring, and developing a team of tax professionals • Proficiency in analyzing financial data and working with corporate tax systems or tax determination software; experience driving automation initiatives to improve process efficiency is preferred • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing work environment and are able to manage competing priorities with sound judgment and strong execution

Responsibilities

• Oversee global indirect tax operations, including VAT, GST, sales and use tax, and other non-income transactional tax compliance, registrations, return filings, and payment processes across relevant jurisdictions • Manage indirect tax audits and notices, acting as the primary point of contact for tax authorities to resolve assessments and disputes • Provide clear technical tax advice regarding indirect tax implications for new products, acquisitions, contracts, cross-border transactions, and business reorganizations • Partner cross-functionally to support taxability determinations, invoicing requirements, exemption documentation, and implementation of indirect tax requirements or process improvements in systems and operational processes • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting global indirect tax and translate those developments into practical guidance, risk mitigation, and process updates

The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones.
