• Architecting, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure infrastructure in AWS using Terraform. • Designing cloud-native solutions using MongoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, and other AWS services with a strong focus on serverless. • Contributing to incident response efforts, production readiness, and reliability initiatives across engineering squads. • Enhancing observability and platform insight through actionable alerting and data visibility using Datadog. • Continuously improving CI/CD processes with GitHub Actions, reducing friction in delivery pipelines. • Collaborating with software engineers (working in Node.js/TypeScript) to ensure secure, performant, and resilient applications. • Mentoring engineers and champion DevOps culture and best practices across teams. • THIS ROLE’S FOR YOU IF... • You’re a pragmatic platform engineer with experience in regulated environments, balancing delivery with compliance and operational excellence. • You’re confident working with JavaScript/TypeScript-based applications and collaborating closely with development teams. • You know what “good” looks like for databases like MongoDB and Postgres and can diagnose, design, and optimise for scale and resilience. • You care deeply about observability - you don’t just monitor systems, you build alerts that engineers can act on. • You’re fluent in AWS best practices, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and CI/CD tooling like GitHub Actions. • You’ve had exposure to architectural decisions and willingness to own of platform-level outcomes. • THIS ROLE ISN’T FOR YOU IF... • You rely on a lot of top-down direction.
