Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in Design Program Management and DesignOps • A track record of leading complex, fast-moving programs across design, product, and engineering • Experience working on AI-powered products, internal AI enablement, or adjacent workflows • Technical curiosity and aptitude to partner fluently with engineering and design engineers • Experience procuring and managing design contractors and 3rd-party vendors • A deep understanding of how designers work and how to support their craft • While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have: • Experience participating in or running design eval or quality review programs • Hands-on experience with automation, scripting, or AI orchestration tools to reduce operational overhead • Prior experience as a product designer or in a design-adjacent role • At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles. • Pay Transparency Disclosure • If based in Figma’s San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has the annual base salary range stated below. • Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range. Responsibilities
• Own end-to-end design program management for AI-related workstreams, including planning, prioritization, coordination, risk management, and communication across PDE • Build an evergreen design eval program for AI work, including coordinating around new model drops, procuring and managing contractors, and synthesizing feedback into clear, actionable insights • Orchestrate collaboration across multiple designers, teams, and pillars on complex, business-critical AI initiatives • Partner closely with the AI Director of Design and engineering counterparts to ensure strong alignment between design intent and technical execution • Contribute to internal AI enablement efforts for designers via improved tooling, workflows, guides, templates, and learning forums • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, or remove operational overhead across AI design workstreams • Communicate progress, risks, tradeoffs, and dependencies clearly to executive stakeholders
