Agoda - Staff Software Engineer - Full Stack AI (Bangkok based, Relocation provided)
Requirements
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering (web, backend, or full stack) • Frontend: Hands-on proficiency with React and its ecosystem — Next.js (SSR/SSG), TypeScript, state management (Redux, Zustand, or similar), component libraries, and build tooling (Webpack/Vite) • Frontend: • Backend: Expertise in Java, Kotlin, or .NET; comfort designing microservices and REST/gRPC APIs • Backend: • BFF / middleware: Experience building and owning Node.js/TypeScript BFF layers that sit between frontend and core services, including API aggregation, response shaping, and auth handling • BFF / middleware: • Solid understanding of frontend performance fundamentals: Core Web Vitals, code splitting, lazy loading, and rendering strategies (CSR vs SSR vs ISR) • Familiarity with testing approaches across the stack — unit, integration, and E2E (Jest, Cypress, or Playwright) • Proven experience leading end-to-end architecture on high-traffic platforms • Track record of technical mentorship, cross-team collaboration, and solving ambiguous problems
